Section Initiatives

Georgetown is engaged in a variety of academic, operational and community initiatives designed to foster a deeper understanding of sustainability and spur action on the issue. Operationally, Georgetown seeks to reduce its carbon footprint through recycling, energy efficiency, facilities and construction, dining and other initiatives. The university also conducts research and teaching on sustainability and encourages community engagement in a range of events and activities.
